What happens to my monthly fee?
Your existing hosting and maintenance fee continues. Most clients pay $99 per month. If you have a different agreed rate or require expanded capacity, we confirm that in your quote before authorization.
Are SEO and AIO included in every option?
Every standard plan includes basic SEO improvements. Preserve keeps your design and written content intact while correcting missing or clearly incomplete page titles, meta descriptions, heading structure, and meaningful image descriptions on included pages. Refine, Enhance, and Reimagine provide further improvements within their selected scope. Accessibility markup supports usability; it is not a promise of search rankings or complete accessibility compliance.
Can I update my content with Refine?
Yes. Refine includes up to 500 words of client-provided additions or replacement copy in total across your website during migration, within the included consolidated refinement round. We retain your other written content. A full rewrite or additional writing may be quoted separately and requires your approval. This allowance does not limit the content you can edit yourself in your new CMS after launch.
What do you need from me to get started?
After your authorization, we’ll confirm invoice arrangements, your kickoff schedule, and any access or materials needed for your selected plan. This may include website and domain access, updated business information, images, and any client-provided content changes. We’ll explain how to provide access securely and contact you if we need anything else.
When does the completion estimate begin?
At your confirmed project kickoff, after scheduling, required access and materials, and invoice arrangements are complete. Estimates apply to your individual website; review delays, complex features, and the migration queue can affect timing.
Will my current site stay online during the build?
We build and review the replacement before scheduling the switch. We plan the cutover to minimize disruption and keep a rollback option. Payment-based sites may need a short, scheduled freeze to reconcile orders and customer data.
Can I review the site and request changes before launch?
Yes. You’ll receive a private preview and instructions for submitting feedback before you approve the launch. Reimagine includes two consolidated design and content review rounds; Refine includes one consolidated refinement round and up to 500 words of client-provided content updates across the site during migration. Enhance and Preserve include review of the agreed migration work and SEO improvements. eCommerce review allowances follow your individually agreed scope. Additional work requires your approval before any extra charges.
Will my domain name or business email change?
We plan to keep your existing domain name and coordinate the settings needed to connect it to your new site. We also review your email-related domain settings so they are preserved during the switch. Moving your website does not include moving your email service; any email or domain changes needed will be discussed with you before launch.
Will I still be able to edit my website?
Yes. Your site will use Digital Alchemy’s custom CMS instead of WordPress. We’ll show you how to manage the editable content included in your agreed scope.
What if something is not working after the migration?
Let us know, and we’ll investigate. Migration-related defects are corrected at no charge, with no time limit, and those corrections do not count against your included refinement rounds. Your existing hosting and maintenance agreement continues. New features or work outside the agreed migration scope may be quoted separately and will require your approval.
